I stumbled across a pretty incredible article recently…

The World Health Organization released a report that states the number of people who experience depression is increasing by two times every 10 years. That means it’s doubling every 10 years and that by the year 2020 depression will be the most pervasive disease in the entire world. In fact, depression will be the 2nd leading cause of death beating out HIV/Aids, TB, and Malaria. Wow – that is unbelievable! How could depression lead to such global pain and suffering and even death? Then I realized something. People are not aware that depression is curable.

It seems if you are suffering from depression, you either get meds or just deal; there is little action taken towards managing depression naturally. Now, don’t get me wrong, people do suffer from chemically induced depression that may need specific medical treatment; however, many of us who come through this site are suffering from situational depression from a break-up. To soothe our pain, we may seek counseling and if we’re in a bad state, we may be prescribed medication to help with this depression. Well, I’m not going to go on a long rant about the rampant overprescription of anti-anxiety and anti-depressants, but I would like to discuss some remarkable, natural healing options.

After a break up, the pain and suffering can be an extreme challenge – one that interferes with our life pleasure, but there are natural methods of healing that are truly effective. We sought them out for this community and have found them in Gwynne Curry.

Gwynne suffered from chronic depression for more than 30 years of her life. She actually had two episodes MDD or Major Depressive Disorder. When she could take it no longer, she embarked on a personal mission to find the true, root causes of depression. In her research, Gwynne made startling revelations about the whys of depression and once she did that she was able to figure out the hows of getting over it. And it worked! In fact, for the last five years, Gwynne has lived depression free and beauty of the techniques that she uses is that they are all natural.

Gwynne is an inspiration and we have the fortune of teaming up with her to offer her techniques in an ebook entitled, You can Heal your Depression Now. Her teaching techniques are very similar to ours: a little theory and a lot of action including assignments at the end of each short chapter that really work. I’m going to give you the link in a second to download the book, but remember, the techniques will only work if you actually try the assignments.

Click to access the book here: You can Heal Your Depression Now - it’s truly awesome.

Just a little excerpt…

Heroin uses the same receptor mechanisms of the cells that emotional chemicals use. Since heroin is so addictive, is it any wonder that our thoughts and corresponding emotions are also addictive? Could this be the cause of the chemical imbalance which the medical establishment prescribes antidepressants to correct? If this is the case, please note that the chemical imbalance did not come first.

By now you may be wondering if your emotions are bad. Emotions are a natural part of life. It is counterproductive to try to label them as good or bad. Your emotions serve a fundamental and unique purpose. They simply provide feedback based on what you’re doing with your thoughts. So, it’s the addiction to your thoughts and emotions that becomes the problem. Since the predisposition exists to become addicted to your thoughts and emotions, why not substitute thoughts that produce emotions that feel good and become addicted to them? Chapter 15 will cover, in depth, the topic of emotions and how they benefit you.

I was on meds for about 3 months and I was so lethargic and gained weight. It’s like they prescribe an anti-depressant that makes you gain weight and then you need another one for the weight gain. Makes no sense. I’m into yoga and would love to learn more natural techniques. Thanks.

The other problem is that if financially one is not stable, not that much is available for help. In my situation right now I am reaching all over the place and if I want help I have to pay for books, supplements, etc. etc. and some things do not seem to work. and now I have more debt added and wasted money and in more debt,

Why don’t we have centers like Drug addiction centers, Batter woman centers, a place were we could reach for help and be with people and support each other and create friendships to get back to our lives, knowing that we can be counted… on something without the added stress of suffering , I am a productive person “But” Right now I feel Lost and helpless on seeing my money go down.. To get help money is need it. “Broken heart” is not a socially acceptable thing, Yet people die of Broken Heart, or get sick, and life comes to a stop. Are there any centers like that I am not aware of?
